Vinyltriisopropoxysilane Cas 18023-33-1
Customers should review the latest MSDS and product safety information labels.
Individual instructions for safe handling of the product contain information on protective equipment, if necessary, and on special storage conditions required to ensure safety.
Store away from heat and open flames in a cool, dry place.
Keep tightly closed, otherwise it will hydrolyze and form polymers when exposed to moisture.
Finished products are packed in plastic drums of 5 kg, 25 kg, 200 kg, other specifications are available upon request.
Vinyl silane monomers are used in architectural coatings to crosslink vinyl and acrylic emulsions. Silane readily copolymerizes with the backbone of vinyl and acrylic emulsions, resulting in hard, highly crosslinked coatings after curing.
The unique structure of silane gives it very good stability in aqueous systems; it does not react or crosslink before the coating coalesces, and aqueous coating formulations containing BKTK-403 remain stable and effective after one year of aging.
Adding 0.2-15% BKTK-403 to the emulsion resin backbone can significantly improve the cured coating's solvent resistance, water resistance, anti-scratch property, dry and wet adhesion, film hardness, tensile strength.
