Application of Silicone

Compared to inorganic fillers, silicone micro-powders have low relative density and are characterized by heat resistance, weather resistance, lubricity, and hydrophobicity. Trapezoidal silicone resins exhibit higher thermal stability, electrical insulation, and fire resistance than general-purpose silicone resins with a mesh-like three-dimensional structure.

Primarily used in heat-resistant, insulating, silicone plastics, packaging materials for semiconductor component housings, and foam plastics.

There are two types of polysiloxanes used as binders: the silicone type and the silicone resin type, which differ in structure and joint density. There are also differences in structure and joint density between pure silicone resin and modified resin.

Silicone resin exhibits excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, hydrophobic properties, and more. Additionally, it can be used to produce colorless and transparent coatings with good adhesion and abrasion resistance, anti-adhesive barrier coatings, as well as moisture-resistant and water-repellent coatings.
