Application of Silicone

Compared with inorganic fillers, silicone resin micropowders have low relative density and are characterized by heat resistance, weather resistance, lubricity and hydrophobicity. Trapezoidal silicone resins have higher heat resistance, electrical insulation and fire resistance than general-purpose silicone resins with a three-dimensional cross-linked structure.

Mainly used in heat-resistant plastics, insulation plastics, silicone plastics, packaging plastics for semiconductor components and foam plastics.

There are two types of polysiloxanes used as binders: silicone type and silicone resin type, which differ in structure and crosslinking density. There are also differences in structure and crosslinking density between pure silicone resin and modified resin.

Silicone resin has excellent heat resistance, frost resistance, weather resistance, hydrophobic properties, etc. In addition, it can be used to obtain colorless and transparent coatings with good adhesion and abrasion resistance, anti-adhesive release coatings, moisture-resistant and water-repellent coatings.
