C5 C9 Copolymerized Modified Hydrocarbon Resin For Road Marking Paint
Petroleum resin, also known as hydrocarbon resin, is a petroleum by-product of ethylene obtained by fractionation, which is produced by pretreatment, polymerization and distillation. It is not a high polymer, but a low polymer with a molecular weight of 300-3000. It has the characteristics of low acidity, good miscibility, water, ethanol and chemical resistance, chemical resistance to acid, good viscosity adjustment and thermal stability. Generally, petroleum resin is not used alone, but is used with other resins as promoters, regulators, modifiers.

1. Paint and varnish industry:
In paint industry, high softening point C9 petroleum resin is mainly used, which can increase the gloss of paint and improve the adhesion, hardness and resistance ability of acid and alkali.
2. Adhesive industry:
C9 petroleum resin and C9 hydrogenated resin with good adhesion added to the production process of adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives can improve the adhesive bond strength, acid resistance, alkali resistance and water resistance, and can effectively reduce production costs.
3. Printing ink industry:
Ink industry mainly uses high softening point C9 petroleum resin, which can achieve the effect of show color, fast drying and brightening and improve printing performance, etc.
4. Tire and rubber industry:
The tire and rubber industry mainly uses low softening point petroleum resin C9, which has good miscibility with natural rubber particles and little effect on the vulcanization of rubber. Added to rubber and tires, petroleum resin can increase adhesion and reinforcement, and can also play a role as a softener.
